For the Crust: – 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened – 1/2 cup granulated sugar – 2 cups all-purpose flour – 1/4 teaspoon salt For the Lemon Filling: – 4 large eggs – 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar – 1/4 cup all-purpose flour – 2/3 cup fresh lemon juice (about 3–4 lemons) – 1 tablespoon lemon zest For Dusting: – Powdered sugar (for garnish)

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9x13-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang for easy lifting.

In a bowl, mix softened butter, sugar, flour, and salt until crumbly. Press evenly into the pan and bake for 18–20 minutes until lightly golden.

In another bowl, whisk eggs, sugar, flour, lemon juice, and zest until smooth and fully combined.

Pour lemon mixture over the warm crust immediately after baking. Bake again for 20–25 minutes or until the center is set.

Let bars cool completely in the pan, then refrigerate for 1–2 hours to firm up for clean slicing.

Lift bars out, dust with powdered sugar, and slice into squares or rectangles. Store chilled for best texture.
