– 1 cup heavy whipping cream (chilled) – 2–3 tablespoons powdered sugar (adjust to taste) – 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract (optional)

Chill your mixing bowl and beaters in the freezer for 10–15 minutes.

Pour the cold heavy cream into the chilled bowl.

Beat on medium speed until it begins to thicken.

Add powdered sugar and vanilla extract.

Continue beating on high until soft or stiff peaks form, depending on your preference.

STEP

Use immediately or store in the fridge for up to 24 hours.
