▉ 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 4–6 lemons) ▉ 1 cup white granulated sugar ▉ 5 cups cold water ▉ Ice cubes ▉ Lemon slices & mint for garnish (optional)
Juice fresh lemons until you get 1 cup. Strain to remove seeds and pulp. Fresh lemon juice gives the lemonade a bright, zesty flavor.
In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup water and 1 cup sugar. Heat until sugar dissolves fully. Let the syrup cool—this makes the lemonade smooth.
In a pitcher, combine lemon juice, sugar syrup, and remaining cold water. Stir well to blend the sweet and tart flavors evenly.
Add plenty of ice cubes to chill the drink quickly. Taste and adjust by adding more water or lemon juice to your liking.
Serve over ice with lemon slices and a sprig of mint. Refreshing and timeless, it’s perfect for hot days, picnics, or family gatherings.
