Sourdough Cinnamon Rolls Recipe

Dough: – 1/2 cup active sourdough starter – 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour – 3/4 cup whole milk – 1/4 cup sugar – 1 egg – 1/4 cup unsalted butter (softened) – 1 tsp salt Filling: – 1/2 cup brown sugar – 2 tsp ground cinnamon – 1/4 cup butter (softened) Glaze: – 1 cup powdered sugar – 2 tbsp milk – 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Mix 1/2 cup starter, 2 3/4 cups flour, 3/4 cup milk, 1/4 cup sugar, 1 egg, 1/4 cup butter, and 1 tsp salt. Knead until smooth.

Let the dough rise at room temperature for 8–12 hours overnight, covered. It should double in size and feel airy.

Mix 1/2 cup brown sugar, 2 tsp cinnamon, and 1/4 cup soft butter. Roll out dough, spread filling, and roll into a log.

Slice log into 9–12 rolls and place in a greased pan. Let rise for 1–2 hours until puffy and room temp.

Bake at 375°F for 20–25 minutes, until golden and cooked through. The kitchen will smell amazing!

Whisk 1 cup powdered sugar, 2 tbsp milk, and 1/2 tsp vanilla. Drizzle over warm rolls for the perfect finishing touch.
